A graduation star map of the night it was done

Graduation gifts are mostly things for the next stage: a pen, a bag, money. The chart is for the stage that just ended — the sky over the town where the years happened, on the night they finished.

Most people pick the evening of the ceremony. Some pick the night of the last exam, or the first night in the city as a freshman: the sky over the same town four years apart shows two different seasons of stars.

It is a print-ready PDF, so it also works for the graduate who is about to move and does not want one more object to ship: it gets printed at the other end.

Two ways to give it

Printable PDF $4.99

  • A3 star chart, vector PDF
  • Your place, moment and line of text
  • Delivered by email in a minute
PDF only — $4.99
Best for a gift

Gift edition $14.99

  • Everything in the PDF
  • A2 print file at 300 dpi (420 × 594 mm), ready for any print shop
  • A personal dedication printed under the title
Gift edition — $14.99

Printing it at home? There is a second paper: the same sky as ink on white. A full-bleed night A3 bands on a home printer and drinks a cartridge; the ink one does not. Same price, pick either on the next page.

Preview free, one-off payment by card, no account. The place, the moment and the line of text are yours to change on the next page; the example shown here is a real sky over Boston on 28 May 2026, 21:30 local time.

The line of text

A name and the year read well: “Maya — Class of 2026”. It is set small under the chart.

Questions people ask

Which place should I use — the campus or home?

The campus town, if the chart is about the years there. Cities a few hundred kilometres apart give visibly different horizons, so the choice shows.

Can I order several for a whole class?

Each chart is $4.99 and takes a minute; if the place and date are the same, one PDF printed many times is the same chart for everyone.

What do I actually receive?

A print-ready A3 PDF (297 × 420 mm), vector, sharp at any size. The download appears the moment the card goes through; nothing is shipped.
